How to make a prediction is one of the first things I teach my kindergarteners. I use the book What color is your underwear? By: Sam Lloyd (a book of colors) to teach this concept.
They "get it" very quickly because the book is so silly and funny to them. I give each student a chance to make a prediction on each page so they all get to practice over and over again. I like to make them say I predict... so they can remember what the skill is called. This year I added an anchor chart to go along with the lesson. You can download your copy for free here.

My principal bought our team door wreaths made of wooden sticks because she loved the one that my team leader made. I always wanted to made a yarn wreath and this was the perfect opportunity. It was so super easy to make this pinterest inspired wreath and it fits my style and personality. It came out pretty good for my first attempt at this kind of craft (if I must say so myself, lol!). I made it to coordinate with my classroom colors and my modern style.
